I could imagine a removalist would cost quite a bit for such a long way.

My advise is search Google for interstate removalists and then give them a call to discuss costs.
You could also look on Yellow or Sensis.

I know that "Grace" removalists do interstate moves, however they are very expensive... they charged me $1,000 dollars for a move which was literally five minutes down the street and I also have a three bedroom home with just my boyfriend and I.
So I wouldn't want to imagine how much they would charge for a move from Brisbane to Sydney!

If you don't have too much furniture, you could hire a moving van from Budget. They are pretty large vehicles and look like they could fit allot of furniture in them. I have seen signs for hire from $110 per day and all you need is a class C drivers licence.
That could save you allot of money and you would be able to drop off the vehicle at a Budget location in Sydney.

Good luck and I hope you like Sydney!
