I moved from the east coast of Canada to the west coast to take on a different job. I had someone rent a U-Haul and drive my furniture across the country. Can I claim this and the cost of my plane ticket as a moving expense? Does the receipt need to show my name? Is there anything else that can be claimed?

According to the link below, those are both acceptable expenses.

The document also says that you are to keep receipts supporting your claim. Because you’re allowed to expense meals and the like, I don’t see how they could reasonably ask for your name to be on it. Instead, you would keep the receipts in case the CRA challenges you on the deductions.
