The ultimate DIY story. And again proof that you don’t need nor should you rely on government to solve problems. People do it if they are left alone. The best government is the government that governs less.

This story is awe-inspiring. If you think you have it hard, someone else out there has it harder than you. So we need to stop complaining and give GOD thanks for the simple pleasures we have in life. It also shows things can be acheived if you make sacrifices and put your mind to it. This has inspired me.

You realize how much we loose because of poverty and missed opportunity. This young man did not allow those to impede his dreams.
This is a must see for all young people.
May the Lord bless this young man.

I had the chance to meet him today, he was a truely inspiring young man! And so modest! He dropped out of school because the country went through a famine where people were starving to death, and many of his family member came near to death. They could no longer pay the fee, so he found a way he could help his family, and himself by building a light he could read by. Then everything bloomed from there… he will be attending school next year. But right now hes enjoying chicago:)
