If your looking into moving out West how far in advance should you start looking for living arrangments?

My best friend and I are planning on moving out west for either this coming summer or the one after that. We are both ski instructors and are hoping to get jobs teaching skiing on the glaciers. We are both very accomplished skiiers so getting the job isn’t our worry its where we will live. Also, do you think anyone would let 2 17 year old girls move in?
17 is a little young.
You will most likely need to secure a job before you get a place as most landlords will want to know what you will be doing.
Also, Whistler is extremely expensive and places to live are brutally hard to find. Also remember that the Olympics are coming so that is going to change the dynamics. Just be careful to not assume that you will get a job because you can ski.
