I am a 25 year old man with aspirations of getting out of the states. I would love to travel, experience different people, etc. I am not against going back to school, being that i only have a high school diploma and would love to study abroad. But i haven’t even spent one second in college, not even community. If only moving was so easy. How do i go about taking the first steps to making this dream of living in London actually happen? I am lost and would appreciate any advice.

The first step is finding a job. If you do not have
a car, find some place locally that you can walk to.

I know this may not sound like the best advice…
but in order to make this dream come true you
need money. In doing so, save the money, then
go online & start googling places for rent in the U.K.

I know there are people who are willing to rent out rooms
in exchange for work or rent. (once you get a job there)

There are other solutions.
Research. There are people who give advice
in London on how to get situated, find a job, &
a place to stay @ affordable rates.

Remember, Its all about researching, online.
Hope this helped you & I wish you the best.

Hi there….I can definitely offer you some advice with regards to this, my Husband who is a US citizen went to the UK 3 years ago to get a masters degree from a UK university, since we both went through this whole process we would be more than happy to offer you some good advice via e-mail.

sorry, I can’t type right now….but if you are interested in hearing from two people who have gone through this experience, feel free to e-mail me at mwilbur137@gmail.com

we will be happy to write you a comprehensive email….we are pretty up to date with visa restrictions etc.

    Thanks

you have a slim to none chance of being admitted to the UK. they will turn you back at heathrow if you can’t prove you have $2000 in the bank, if you mention overstaying your tourist visa, if you mention getting a job, or if you have no definite travel itinerary. they will specifically ask where will you be staying your first night and if you don’t prove a specific hotel, back you go….

they don’t want anymore young, homeless, stranded, US people sleeping rough in leicester square, eating out of trash bins in china town, sleeping on the footbridge between waterloo and charing cross. what a life.

i am being tough with you on purpose. find happiness and a job in your country. get an education, and a career then travel on your vacation times.

they are admitting to work engineers, nurses and medical doctors. how’s that for an educational goal?
