Moving house – a really stressful experience?

I’ve heard that house-moving is one of the most stressful experiences you can go through. Is this so in general ? Why ?
Clarification : I’m not moving house as in moving a mobile home. I’m selling one house and buying another.

Theoretically, it you are calm, resourceful and organised, you
can move house successful. But I haven’t met anybody (as
of yet) who is that person…..

    It depends whether or not you have enough giant I-beams, a strong enough tractor-trailer and enough experience in moving houses. You may need a police escort (or several if you will be crossing state lines). I have been told that if you can hire enough illegal immigrants a house can be moved without machinery. And yes it is one of the more stressful things a person can do, so score some valium and everclear.
