    Whether you are …
Whether you are using a full service moving company or renting a truck to move yourself- never use a company that you find online. 98% of complaints filed against companies are filed by people who used companies they found online. Put down your mouse and pick up the phonebook.Use a local moving company that is a member of the better business bureau. Contact the BBB and find out if there have been any complaints.

    Tip 1.)Make sure …
Tip 1.)Make sure you have the utilities turned on before you move.
Tip 2.)Bring light bulbs 60 watt. All light fixtures will be able to handle. Most don’t realize that most light fixtures are limited at 60 watts. Putting 100 watt in a multi light dining room light fixture for instance will cause strange happenings and most of all there is a danger of electrical fire.

    A big moving tip …
A big moving tip many forget. Is be sure to have the utilities turned on. Electric and gas if the dwelling is not a all electric home. Electric for lights. It’s going to get dark before your done moving in.
You will need the gas on to check to see if your gas stove is hooked up without any gas leaks. If your stove/cook top/oven/ are built in’s you want to check to make sure they operate safely.

    One of your best …
One of your best videos and very timely advice for my situation. My parents are moving from California to Idaho in about six months and they were actually thinking of simply renting a large U-Haul although they are still considering hiring professional movers instead. The advice of having the movers pack all the breakables for insurance reasons was excellent. I don’t think they ever thought of that. I’ll have to let them know = )
