How much do you tip three movers that worked from 9am to 8pm moving home furniture from storage to my home?

Fair dues, thats a big job – I’d give them around €80 between them.

I just got a job and plan on moving out of home. I work around Fairfield so I was thinking of renting an apartment there. I earn around 600 a week.
How much rent should I pay for the amount I earn? What other expenses will I be incurring and how much should I save?
I don’t have any money saved as yet because I start work next month. Please give me all advice and tips as possible.
Is that $600 a week total or after tax? With compulsory super and tax you might be on less. The general rule is not to pay more than 1/3 of your take home pay on rent. If you are renting chances are you will only have to pay electricity/gas (not water or strata – thats only if you own) and is you are young – the phone might cost more to have installed (best to stick with your mobile for a bit). you will need to save up 6 weeks rent before you move out for bond etc. Then it costs around $150 to get electricity connected, and the same for gas (so find a place that has only electricity) and the phone.
IF you pretend for the next couple of months that you have no money (live like you are now) then you will be able to save the money easy. If you start going out and spending now that you have money – you will not save a single cent and you will have trouble starting at a later date.

I’m moving home on the 29th Feb and haven’t even started packing yet. Do you have any tips for a home move as I need to get cracking ![]()
Put together a moving folder with all your moving truck info, utility changes, deposits, etc. in it, so during the move you will have only one package of paperwork to deal with. Maybe 2 folders if you get one from a realtor, too. The moving folder really helped me! I picked a brightly colored folder too.
Don’t wrap fragile things carefully in paper, crunch the paper up in wads for maximum padding. Write the destination room on the box, plus a short list of what’s in there. Try not to pack boxes full of heavy things, like all books, or you will hurt your moving helpers!
Make sure you call in some favors when the time crunch comes. Buy pizza for the movers or for your volunteers.

It is Winter and I am in a park down to two trailers. We we were gonna tough it out till Spring but now the people in the rented trailer are moving out so now it is just us and there is a very good possibility the park will be shut down now. I own my mobile home but I am renting the land. I’m pretty sure due to winter conditions this can’t be moved. What can I do?
I don’t know what type of weather you are dealing with, but you would be surprised at what type of conditions a mobile home can be moved in. The only time a mobile home can’t be moved is if the local county has road restrictions in effect for heavy loads, but this usually happens only in the spring when the ground is too soggy.
I would start with calling a few local mobile home movers and ask questions.
Also I don’t know about your state, but mine (Washington state) has a program that gives financial assistance to pay to move your mobile home if the park is scheduled to close.
As far as closing, most states have a process that park owners have to go through if they are going to close. Part of that process is giving you a reasonable amount of time to move once you are notified that the park is closing down. Here in Washington, I believe park residence have at least 6 months.
Hope that helps!
i currently subscribe to sky+hd and got a sky+ box on multi-room but i have already moved house, how much do sky charge to carry out a installation?
Give Sky a call for the current cost of installing your equipment.
Is there government money for college students moving from home for the first time? Is there something the college student could apply for? Is there a way for this person to get extra money towards living expenses? Is there another way for this person to earn money elsewhere while going to school and work full-time?
Not that I’ve ever heard of. It might be covered by some kind of government grant that’s part of your financial aid package.
I rented my home for 2 1/2yrs until it went into foreclosure. A bank bought it at an auction and now wants to put it on the market. I really really want to buy it from them, but they want to evict me 1st and then put it on the market. A real estate suggested an as-is sale. Is this possible, for me to purchase my home without moving out and then moving back in, especially if im paying cash for the house?
Anything is possible. You won’t know until you ask.
Call the bank and ask to speak with someone in Loss Mitigation. It’s their job to minimize the bank’s losses in these situations and having a ready and willing buyer in the home and ready to close is a Loss Mitigation Manager’s wet dream. Unless your offer is totally unrealistic they should agree to sell it to you without moving you out.
We want to move a mobile home from GA to land in TN and we then want to build onto it but I cant find any info about it. Does anyone know?
Use your yellow pages to call a manufactured home mover. They will have the answer. And, yes, moving will cost you an awful lot of money- Tear down, transport, reset.
Try looking at mhvillage.com. Put in the zip code you want to move to, and you will see, from your computer, the prices of homes for sale there.

Hello. My boyfriend and I are going to remodel our trailer home … by replacing some boards on floors and replacing some carpets and do some remodel .. mostly just on floors. The mobile home can still be moved? we are considering doing the walls but decide not to till we move the trailer out of the park onto our land.
You would be best to wait for any remodel work till after you get the mobile home moved. Through the move, the trailer will be stressed in many locations. That may damage the loosen the flooring or walls or whatever.

Pickfords for shipping they should then arrange a local business to pick up from customs to your home.
