I am a 25 year old man with aspirations of getting out of the states. I would love to travel, experience different people, etc. I am not against going back to school, being that i only have a high school diploma and would love to study abroad. But i haven’t even spent one second in college, not even community. If only moving was so easy. How do i go about taking the first steps to making this dream of living in London actually happen? I am lost and would appreciate any advice.
The first step is finding a job. If you do not have
a car, find some place locally that you can walk to.
I know this may not sound like the best advice…
but in order to make this dream come true you
need money. In doing so, save the money, then
go online & start googling places for rent in the U.K.
I know there are people who are willing to rent out rooms
in exchange for work or rent. (once you get a job there)
There are other solutions.
Research. There are people who give advice
in London on how to get situated, find a job, &
a place to stay @ affordable rates.
Remember, Its all about researching, online.
Hope this helped you & I wish you the best.
I am looking for the titles of books suitable for a 5 year old girl (within the U.K), on moving to a new house and a new school. Anyone that can point me in the right direction would be great! I need the titles names please and authors as I’d like to buy them, not go to a library.
Thank you.
The following books might be suitable:
The New House (Fred Bear and Friends) by Melanie Joyce £4.99 ISBN 1846965071
Where’s My Peg? My First Day at School by Jen Green and Mike Gordon £5.99 ISBN 0750252839
Usborne First Experiences, Collection: "Going to School", "Going to the Doctor", "Moving House", "The New Baby" by Anna Civardi and Stephen Cartwright £17.99
They are all still in print so a good bookshop should be able to order them for you.

I’m moving from Missouri to Eugene or Portland Oregon after I graduate college this December. I’m not really sure where to start looking for a good job before I go. I’d like to work in the nonprofit sector but not sure where to search.
Anyone who lives either of those places would be especially helpful!
Moving here before you have a job is NOT a good idea. Many have lost their jobs and for the first time looking for assistance…be sure you have an income before you move here or you may end up in a undesirable situation….
I just got a job and plan on moving out of home. I work around Fairfield so I was thinking of renting an apartment there. I earn around 600 a week.
How much rent should I pay for the amount I earn? What other expenses will I be incurring and how much should I save?
I don’t have any money saved as yet because I start work next month. Please give me all advice and tips as possible.
Is that $600 a week total or after tax? With compulsory super and tax you might be on less. The general rule is not to pay more than 1/3 of your take home pay on rent. If you are renting chances are you will only have to pay electricity/gas (not water or strata – thats only if you own) and is you are young – the phone might cost more to have installed (best to stick with your mobile for a bit). you will need to save up 6 weeks rent before you move out for bond etc. Then it costs around $150 to get electricity connected, and the same for gas (so find a place that has only electricity) and the phone.
IF you pretend for the next couple of months that you have no money (live like you are now) then you will be able to save the money easy. If you start going out and spending now that you have money – you will not save a single cent and you will have trouble starting at a later date.

I’ve had multiple dreams recently that I have moved house with my family. It’s always a different house, and also moved in with us are family member who have passed on as well as old friends that I don’t see any more.
What does this likely mean?
Job 33 (Amplified Bible) 14For God [does reveal His will; He] speaks not only once, but more than once, even though men do not regard it [including you, Job]. 15[One may hear God's voice] in a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men while slumbering upon the bed, 16Then He opens the ears of men and seals their instruction [terrifying them with warnings],
Moving
To dream that you are moving away, signifies your desire or need for change. It may also mean an end to a situation or relationship; you are moving on. Alternatively, it indicates your determination and issues regarding dependence/independence. Family
To see your own family in your dream, represents security, warmth and love. It could also symbolize bitterness, jealousy, or rivalry, depending on your relationship with your family. Alternatively, it could mean that you are overly dependent on your family, especially if the family members are in your recurring dreams .Consider also the significance of a particular family member or the relationship you have with them.? Dead
To see the dead in your dream, forewarns that you are being influenced by negative people and are hanging around the wrong crowd. You may suffer material loss. This dream may also be a way for you to resolve your feelings with those who have passed on. If you dream of a person who has died a long time ago, then it suggests that a current situation or relationship in you life resembles the quality of that deceased person. The dream may depict how you need to let this situation or relationship die and end it.
To see and talk with your dead parents in your dreams, represents your fears of losing them or your way of coping with the loss. You may want that last opportunity to say your final good-byes to them.
To see your dead sibling, relative, or friend in your dream, indicates that you miss them and are trying to relive your old experiences you had with them. In trying to keep up with the pace of your daily waking life, you dreams may serve as your only outlet in coping and coming to terms with the loss of a loved one.
recurring dreams
Most dreams contain messages that serve to teach you something about yourself. However, soon after you wake up to go about your daily routine, you tend to quickly forget what you dream about. The message in recurring dreams may be so important and/or powerful that it refuses to go away. The frequent repetition of such dreams forces you to pay attention and confront the dream. It is desperately trying to tell you something. Such dreams are often nightmarish or frightening in their content, which also helps you to take notice and pay attention to them.
Recurring dreams are quite common and are often triggered by a certain life situation or a problem that keeps coming back again and again. These dreams may recur daily, once a week, or once a month. Whatever the frequency, there is little variation in the dream content itself. Such dreams may be highlighting a personal weakness, fear, or your inability to cope with something in your life – past or present.
The repetitive patterns in your dream reveal some of the most valuable information about yourself. It may point to a conflict, situation or matter in your waking life that remains unresolved or unsettled. Some urgent underlying message in your unconscious is demanding to be understood.
Overcoming Recurring Dreams
Following are some tips to help you in overcoming your recurring dreams.
1. To start to understand your recurring dream, you must be willing to accept some sort of change or undergo a transformation.
2. You need to look within yourself and confront whatever you may find no matter how difficult it may be.
3. Look at the dream from an objective point of view. Try to get pass the emotional and reactive elements of the dream and get down to the symbolic images. Often times, dreams are masked by elements that are disturbing, thus preventing you to delve any deeper. This is a defense mechanism that your unconscious is putting up.
4. Each and every time you have a recurring dream, write it down in great detail. Look for any subtle variations. These variations are the most significant as it indicates that you are one step closer to understanding why the dream recurs.
5. Pay attention to what is going on in your waking life when you have these recurring dreams. You may start to notice a pattern.
6. Be patient. Do not get discourage if these dreams still recur even after you thought you have come to understand them.
7. Learn to accept yourself truly and fully.
Once you discover what your recurring dream is trying to tell you, these dreams will change or altogether disappear.

We found and old butchers knife, 2 porno tapes, a tin can with a razor in it, a tap of a man’s invention right before ytk. What things have you found that were left behind after moving in a new house?
in the attic I found:

somebodys design project. Looked like interior design from 1950s.
mason jars, neatly packed in a box
1940’s newspapers
a fireproof safe
fire escape ladder
gardening tools

I’m moving home on the 29th Feb and haven’t even started packing yet. Do you have any tips for a home move as I need to get cracking ![]()
Put together a moving folder with all your moving truck info, utility changes, deposits, etc. in it, so during the move you will have only one package of paperwork to deal with. Maybe 2 folders if you get one from a realtor, too. The moving folder really helped me! I picked a brightly colored folder too.
Don’t wrap fragile things carefully in paper, crunch the paper up in wads for maximum padding. Write the destination room on the box, plus a short list of what’s in there. Try not to pack boxes full of heavy things, like all books, or you will hurt your moving helpers!
Make sure you call in some favors when the time crunch comes. Buy pizza for the movers or for your volunteers.
my friend moved into his new place. Inside was a rock about the size of a fist, which had bits of quartz in it. He said it might be a tradition to leave this for the new tenant, but i’ve never heard of it. would anyone know if it is ? I’d like to know. (or has someone recently moved house and left their paperweight ?)
It is an old Jewish tradition to give salt, bread and a broom when someone moves into a new home as a housewarming gift.
Salt is to season your life, the bread is so you will not go hungry, and the broom is to sweep your troubles or sorrows away.
Sugar may be add to sweetness to your life. The Italian also had a similar tradition but added holy water for blessing in life.
